Last Time Out
UMass opened up 2019-20 competition with a 221-84 win over Colgate on the road Saturday behind six multiple individual event winners. Sydnee Aubin claimed the top-spot in both the 100 and 200 Backstroke while fellow junior Mariam Labib took first in both the 50 and 200 Free. A trio of freshmen in Jane Denenberg, Bella Snyder and Olivia Mozoki each claimed a pair of wins as Denenberg touched the wall first in the 100 and 200 Fly while Snyder won the 500 and 1,650 Freestyle events with Mozoki winning the 200 IM and 200 Breast. Maja Boric also added a pair of wins on the boards for the Minutewomen, winning both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter Dives.

First Collegiate Wins
Denenberg, Snyder and Mozoki each claimed a pair of individual event wins in their first collegiate meet at Colgate as the freshmen combined for six total wins in scored events on the afternoon. In addition to claiming the top spots in their respective events, freshman Kirsten Ardis added a runner-up finish in 100 Back while Snyder took second in the 200 Free to go along with Mozoki's third-place showing in the 100 Breast.

Looking Ahead
After hitting the road for a pair of meets in New York and Connecticut, the Minutemen will come home to the Joseph R. Rogers, Jr. Pool a week from Saturday to host Vermont on Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. in the 2019-20 home opener. The Minutewomen will be off the following weekend before resuming competition at home against Boston University on Saturday, Oct. 2 before heading back out on the road to face Atlantic 10 opponent Rhode Island on Saturday, Nov. 9 in Kingston, R.I.
