Senior standout garners one of only two spots on the top team

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts senior wide receiver Andy Isabella earned Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) All-America First Team, as announced by the organization on Monday. It marks Isabella's third selection to a first team spot, including Walter Camp Football Foundation and Pro Football Focus, in addition to a place on Sports Illustrated's second team.

Isabella is the nation's FBS leader in receiving yards (1,698) and receiving yards per game (141.5) while he also ranks third in receptions per game (8.5) and tied for fourth in touchdown catches (13). The Mayfield, Ohio, native totaled 102 catches over his 12 starts at wide receiver, with at least four catches in every game. He also reset the team's single-season and career receiving yards (3,526) marks with the final catch of his collegiate career, a 45-yard touchdown at No. 5 Georgia.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound native of Mayfield, Ohio, earned first team status alongside Texas Tech's Antoine Wesley. Ole Miss' AJ Brown and Oklahoma's Marquise Brown took home second team laurels at wide receiver. Isabella is the only wide receiver in the nation with a trio of first team nods.
