Senior wide receiver earns seventh all-America honor

AMHERST, Mass. - The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) selected UMass wide receiver Andy Isabella as a first team all-American, as announced by the organization on Wednesday. Isabella was one of only two wide receivers selected to the first team, alongside Alabama's Jerry Jeudy.

The AFCA honor marked Isabella's seventh all-America team this season. He was also chosen for the Walter Camp Football Foundation, Pro Football Focus and Football Writers Association of America first teams, while he won second team from the Associated Press, Sporting News and Sports Illustrated.

Isabella is the nation's FBS leader in receiving yards (1,698) and receiving yards per game (141.5) while he also ranks third in receptions per game (8.5) and tied for fourth in touchdown catches (13). The Mayfield, Ohio, native totaled 102 catches over his 12 starts at wide receiver, with at least four catches in every game. He also reset the team's single-season and career receiving yards (3,526) marks with the final catch of his collegiate career, a 45-yard touchdown at No. 5 Georgia.
