Field Hockey to Host Alumni Day on Sept. 17

Minutewomen face UMass Lowell at Gladchuk Field as part of weekend celebration
AMHERST, Mass - The University of Massachusetts field hockey team will host its 2017 Alumni Day on Sun., Sept. 17 in conjunction with the team's 1 p.m. contest against UMass Lowell. All alumni of the program are welcome to attend the event, which will include a team happy hour at the Hangar on Sat., Sept. 17 at 5 p.m., recognition at halftime of the contest on Sunday and a postgame tailgate with the team following completion of the contest against UMass Lowell.
All alumni interested in attending are asked to RSVP to UMass field hockey head coach Barb Weinberg at barb.weinberg@umass.edu.
Massachusetts entered the 2017 campaign as the preseason favorite to win the 2017 Atlantic 10 Championship, as voted upon by the league head coaches. The Minutewomen were also ranked No. 22 in the country by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) per a national polling of NCAA Division I head coaches.
