AMHERST, MA. -- No. 16 Massachusetts (13-2, 6-1 MAC) earned their eight shutout of the season, claiming a 5-0 win over Bellarmine (2-13, 2-5) Friday at Gladchuk Field Hockey Complex. Five different players tallied a goal as the Minutewomen controlled the action with a dominant 21-2 advantage in total shots.

Massachusetts secured its first victory over the Knights in the inaugural meeting between the two programs.

Elena Cococeanu, Cara Falconer, Sophie Kent, Kristy Leonard and Elani Sherwood each recorded a goal in the matchup, with Sherwood tallying a game-high five shots. Fiene Jenniskens continued to be a key facilitator, dishing out a pair of assists on the evening.

Myrte van Herwijnen made two saves in the contest, denying Bellarmine's only two shots.

The Knights were led by Luna Tuncay who recorded two shots.
