AMHERST, Mass. - Following a split pair of matches last weekend, the UMass tennis team heads to Washington, D.C., this weekend for road matches at Georgetown on Friday and at George Washington on Saturday. The Minutewomen enter the weekend with a 3-1 record in dual matches this year.

Last weekend's competition saw the Minutewomen drop a hard-fought match at Brown before returning home to defeat Fairleigh Dickinson at the Bay Road Tennis Center.

Brittany Collens leads UMass with a 12-3 overall singles record including a 3-1 mark in dual matches. Her dual match record is matched by Ana Yrazusta who has a 6-5 record overall in singles play. Anna Woosley and Janja Kovacevic, who did not play against FDU, enter the weekend with 7-3 records.

In doubles play, the Minutewomen are a combined 25-12 overall as a team with a 9-3 mark in dual matches. Kovacevic and Yrazusta are 4-0 in dual matches and 7-4 this year overall.

Following this weekend's action, UMass will host a pair of matches next weekend, Feb. 18-19, as Boston College and Army visit the Bay Road Tennis Center. Saturday's 12:30 p.m. match against Boston College will be the Minutewomen's Black Out Match with the first 30 fans in attendance receiving a free black UMass Tennis t-shirt.
