Collegiate Small Boat Challenge Day 1 Results

MERCER, N.J.
– University of Massachusetts rowing wrapped up day one of the Collegiate Small Boat Challenge with a total of 13 boats competing in Saturday's qualifying action.
 
UMass began the afternoon with the Women's 2x, with the boat of Daniella du Toit and Grace Bundy taking first place (7:26.0) and earning a spot in Sunday morning's final. In the Women's 1x, Aiste Balciunaite clocked in at 8:12.51, finishing second and less than six-tenths of a second behind Ithaca's Colby D'onofrio.
 
The 2- saw Melissa Dexter and Isabel Grant post the top Massachusetts mark, finishing 13th in 7:58.9.
 
Women's 2x final competition is slated to begin at 9:40 a.m. on Sunday, while the 1x and 2- will follow at 10:10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., respectively.
