HADLEY, Mass. – University of Massachusetts rowing hosted the inaugural Hadley Chase Regatta on Saturday along the Connecticut River. UMass picked up two impressive wins to begin the day's action. The Minutewomen claimed the Women's 1x by over 18 seconds thanks to Aiste Balciunaite (21:23.1) and shortly thereafter grabbed another victory, this time in the Women's 2x. With a time of 20:03.4, the boat of Daniella du Toit and Grace Bundy out-rowed the other 12 finishers and earned a clear victory.

Emma Fiore, Jamie McMahon and Charlotte Bleiler posted a time of 22:07.6 in the Women's 3x, topping Tufts.

Massachusetts raced three crews in the 4+, with the top boat taking second (19:33.6) behind a challenging Dartmouth squad (19:26.6). The Minutewomen had other entries cross the finish line in fifth (20:06.8) and sixth (20:32.6) place.
