Women's Swimming and Diving Hosts Rhode Island Tuesday Afternoon

Minutewomen and Rams set for 1 p.m. start at Rogers Pool
AMHERST, Mass. - It's a quick turn-around for the UMass women's swimming and diving team after Saturday's win over Bryant as the Minutewomen return to the pool to host Rhode Island on Tuesday afternoon. The dual meet is set for a 1 p.m. start and attendance is free.
UMass picked up a 186-106 win over Bryant in its first meet back from the holiday break on Saturday at Joseph R. Rogers Pool. The Minutewomen took first place in 12 events while Ansley Baker, Maja Boric, Olga Egkorova, and Meriza Werenski all won multiple events.
The Rams also hosted a home meet on Saturday - their first competition after the break as well. Rhody fell in a closely contested 164-134 loss to Wagner at home.
The Minutewomen currently hold 19 top-10 performances in the Atlantic 10 rankings this season. Following Tuesday's meet, UMass will have three more competitions before heading to the 2017 A-10 Championships.
This upcoming Friday and Saturday, UMass will head to the Dartmouth Invitational before closing out its dual meet schedule the following Saturday, Jan. 28 at Fordham.
