Dates, TV Announced for Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Contests

Minutewomen’s home game against Duquesne on January 15 televised by CBS Sports Network.
AMHERST, Massachusetts – The Atlantic 10 Conference announced today the dates and television assignments for the upcoming 2016-17 women's basketball season. The UMass women's basketball team will begin league play on Sunday, December 4 at home against George Mason. Additionally, the January 15 home game against Duquesne will be televised nationally by the CBS Sports Network.
Along with the opener against George Mason, UMass will also host Rhode Island (Jan. 4), Duquesne (Jan. 15), St. Bonaventure (Jan. 19), George Washington (Jan. 21), Saint Louis (Feb. 1), Davidson (Feb. 4), and La Salle (Feb. 18).
The season will officially begin for new head coach Tory Verdi and the Minutewomen on Nov. 11 at Buffalo before UMass returns to open its home schedule on Nov. 14 against North Dakota State.
UMass will host five home non-conference contests this year.
Season tickets are now on sale by calling 866-UMASS-TIX, online at www.UMassAthletics.com or by visiting the Mullins Center Box Office. Additional information on single game tickets along with game times will be announced at a later date.
