Lightweight 4+ Places Second at IRA Championship

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. - University of Massachusetts rowing concluded its spring season collegiate competition with the Lightweight 4+ boat's silver medal finish at the Intercollegiate Rowing Association's (IRA) Championship Regatta at Mercer Lake early Sunday morning.
One of six participating teams that earned a spot in the Grand Final following Saturday's heat and repechage racing, Massachusetts secured second place with a time of 7:42.660. Kelsey Anderson (coxswain), Krysten Menks (stroke), Sam Wonderlin, Hallie Dunlap and Allanah Rubi-Mooney (bow) comprised the five-woman crew.
Wisconsin took first in 7:38.650 while Stanford earned third in 7:44.380. Radcliffe, Boston University and Tulsa also participated in the Lightweight 4+ Grand Final.
