Rowing Secures IRA Regatta Grand Final Appearance

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. - University of Massachusetts rowing's Lightweight 4+ boat earned a spot in the Intercollegiate Rowing Association's (IRA) Championship Regatta Grand Final through a strong showing in its Saturday repechage race.
Kelsey Anderson, Krysten Menks, Sam Wonderlin, Hallie Dunlap, and Allanah Rubi-Mooney put forth the best time recorded by women's Lightweight 4+ entrants on the day when it reached the finish line in 7:23.790 during the late-morning repechage round. First place guaranteed the Minutewomen a spot in Sunday's Grand Final at Mercer Lake alongside Boston University, Radcliffe, Stanford, Tulsa and Wisconsin.
The Maroon and White opened the morning with a second place finish in its heat. Stanford took first in 7:33.270 before Massachusetts crossed six seconds later.
