Slan Sports Management is pleased to announce that Kim Pierre-Louis has signed a one-year contract with TH Wohnbau Angels Nördlingen Donau-Ries of Germany's Damen Basketball Bundesliga (DBBL).
Pierre-Louis, a 6'0" forward, is coming off of her first professional season with ASC Sepsi SIC Sfântu Gheorghe of Romania's Liga Națională. There, she helped Sepsi SIC to a 1st place regular season record, a Romanian Cup title, and a Liga Națională championship, averaging 10.0 points and 5.4 rebounds in just 14.6 minutes per game. Pierre-Louis also shot 62.6% from two-point field goal range for the season.
Originally from Montreal, Quebec, Pierre-Louis attended St. Paul Catholic High School in Ottawa, Ontario, where she was recognized as one of Canada's premier high school basketball players with her selection to play in the All-Canada Classic. Pierre-Louis then began her collegiate career at the University of Massachusetts, playing limited minutes until her junior year, when she became the team's leading scorer.
In her senior season, Pierre-Louis was the Atlantic 10 Conference's 2nd leading scorer with 18.4 points per game and leader in field goal percentage in conference play at 53.3%. Her 7.4 rebounds per game were also 8th best in the Atlantic 10. That season, Pierre-Louis was named to the All-Atlantic 10 2nd Team and earned the award for the Atlantic 10's Most Improved Player.
"I am very excited to have signed with Donau-Reis," said Pierre-Louis. "To have a chance to play in such a competitive league is amazing. I'm looking forward to making a difference on my club and in the league."
The TH Wohnbau Angels finished 8th in the 2015-2016 DBBL regular season, and were eliminated in the Quarter Finals of the playoffs by Euro Cup club and eventual league champions, TSV Wasserburg.
"We were looking for a powerful post who provides us with physicality and energy under the basket," said Kurt Wittman, General Manager of the Angels. "When we watched game film of Kim, we were instantly certain that she would be the player we had been looking for."
