Minutewomen Help Lead Mutiny Into Postseason

AMHERST, Mass. - Four UMass women's soccer players will open up postseason play this weekend with the New England Mutiny of the WPSL. Minutewomen Megan Burke, Georgia Gibson, Madison Smith and Julia Weithofer helped the Mutiny to a 7-1 regular season record and the top spot in the Power 5 Division.
The Mutiny will take on the New Hampshire Phantoms on Saturday, July 18, at 1 p.m. in a WPSL East semifinal matchup at Hormel Stadium in Medford, Mass. The winner of that match will advance to face the winner of the Boston Breakers Reserves-Yankee Lady FC semifinal contest in the East final at 3:00pm on Sunday at Hormel Stadium.
The Minutewomen, who report to campus Aug. 5 for preseason training, will open their 2015 campaign on Friday, Aug. 21, at home vs. Syracuse.
