| IC4A Championship Presents Possible Finale For Men's Track | |
| On Saturday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17 in Princeton, N.J., the men's track and field team will compete in the 2014 Outdoor Track and Field IC4A Championship. The championship meet has a start time set for 10:00 AM. Antony Taylor, Stephen Bigelow and a handful of Minutemen will look to finish the year strong and possibly qualify for NCAA Regionals. | |
| Bigelow And Tavares Shine In New England Finale | |
| On Saturday the Minutemen finished the New England Championship with two fifth place efforts in Westfield, Mass. The Minutemen finished in 30 place Southern Connecticut State taking home the gold with 108 points. Stephen Bigelow and Paolo Tavares led the way for the Minutemen with their individual efforts.
Bigelow placed fifth in the 110 meter hurdles of his final New England Championship. The senior co-captain out of Winchester, Mass., finished in just 14.44-seconds. UMass freshman standout, Tavares ran the steeplechase in just 9-minutes, 23.05-seconds. The time placed him fifth overall and marks his first New England scoring performance. | Antony Taylor's Golden Performance In The Steeplechase Highlights A-10's | |
| On Saturday in Amherst, Mass., at the UMass Track and Field Complex the Minutemen hosted day one of the 2014 Outdoor Atlantic 10 Championship and are now in sixth place overall going into the final day of competition on Sunday. Antony Taylor shined in his final Atlantic 10 Championship with his golden performance in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
Taylor completed the steeplechase in front of a roaring home crowd in just 9-minutes, 5.27-seconds to win the event and claim his first Atlantic 10 Championship. The gold medal performance is UMass' first since Sean Busch won the pole vault at the 2011 Outdoor Atlantic 10 Championship. He is the first A-10 Champion in the steeplechase from UMass since 1999 when Brendan Sullivan won the event. Read the full recap from day one of the Atlantic 10 Championship here. | Four First Place Finishes Fuel Minutemen At UNH | |
| On Saturday in Durham, N.H., the UMass men's track and field team finished third out of eight teams with 98 points, most of which were generated on the track. Maine won the meet and Central Connecticut was the runner-up. UMass finished ahead of Dartmouth, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut and UMass Lowell. Stephen Bigelow played a role in 20 of the team's points with two of UMass' four first place finishes.

| Bigelow Moves Up On UMass All-Time List At Holy Cross | |
| On Saturday, April 19 in Worcester, Mass., the UMass men's track and field team finished third overall at the Holy Cross Invitational. The Minutemen recorded 102 points to outscore Stonehill, Bryant and Colgate. Holy Cross finished as the runner-up to Maine. UMass recorded six first place performances in the meet however; the top performance came from Stephen Bigelow in the 110 meter hurdles.

| Youth Carries UMass To Third Place Finish In Minuteman Invite | |
| On Saturday, April 13 the Minutemen took third place in their first home meet of the season that also featured the team's senior day ceremonies. UMass finished with 109.5 points falling just short of Rhode Island and Northeastern. The Minutemen walk away with some big time performances as the underclassmen stepped up in front of their home crowd.

| Massachusetts Finishes Second In Outdoor Opener | |

On Saturday April 6, in Springfield, Mass., the Minutemen finished second place overall in an AIC Invitational consisting of 20 teams. Once again it was the team's performance on the track that carried the Minutemen to their runner-up effort to Vermont. Stephen Bigelow kicked off his final outdoor season with the program's fifth best time in its history. The Winchester, Mass., native completed the 110 meter hurdles in just 14.54-seconds which stood as the best time of the meet...

| What To Look Forward To This Outdoor Season | |
|
The men's track and field team has become known as a team on the rise in the Atlantic 10 and in New England. The Minutemen are coming off of a strong indoor season in which they finished sixth in the Atlantic 10 and 10 in the New England Championship.
Fans will have plenty of opportunity to watch the Minutemen compete this season with five meets within an hour and 30 minutes of campus. |
