Wolinski Claims Silver At Second Day Of MAC Championships

MUNCIE, Ind. — The University of Massachusetts men's track and field program ranks fifth place after the second day of competition at the MAC Outdoor Championships at the Briner Sports Complex. Elijah Wolinski highlighted the Minutemen's performance with a medal in the men's decathlon, securing silver. 

Highlights from Competition:
  • Elijah Wolinski claimed silver in the men's decathlon with a score of 6,727. Wolinski placed top-eight in every event, with top three finishes in the high jump (3rd, 6'0.50"), Discus (3rd, 114'5"), 1500m (3rd, 4:53.56), Javelin (2nd, 159'6"), Pole Vault (2nd, 13'10.25"), 110m hurdles (2nd, 14.93), 400m (2nd, 50.39) and first in the men's long jump with a leap of 22'3". 
  • Josh Exantus qualified for the men's 110m hurdles finals with a time of 14.41, taking second place. 
  • Godot Gaskins and Noah Mulligan both qualified for the men's 400m dash finals with times of 47.60 and 48.84, taking fourth and eighth, respectively. 
  • Riley Cole (4th), Attikos Kaye (6th) and Cyrus Hansen (7th) each scored in the men's 3k steeplechase with times of 8:50.49, 9:16.20 and 9:17.95, respectively. 
  • Aaron Fishler took 12th in the men's hammer throw with a toss of 157'7". 
  • Michael Harden finished ninth in the men's long jump with a leap of 22'3.75". 
  • Aiden Donovan placed 12th in the men's shot put with a toss of 51'1".
