BOSTON - The Massachusetts men's swimming & diving team scored 331 points on Saturday to maintain second place at the Terrier Invitational with one day remaining.

Boston University leads the five-team field with 746.5 points. UMass has 604.5 and is just ahead of Boston College's 598, while Army is in fourth with 422 and Fairfield is in fifth with 79.

The highlight of the day for the Minutemen came in the 100 Backstroke where freshman Oliver Wyeth broke the school record with a first-place time of 49.11. That is the fastest in the Atlantic 10 Conference this year and a top-50 time nationally.

Alessandro Bomprezzi won his second race of the invitational, claiming the 200 Freestyle in a season best 1:40.21. Teammate Owen Wright swam an A-10 best 1:39.79 in the prelims earlier in the day.

The meet will conclude on Sunday with prelims at 10 a.m., the 1650 Free at 2 p.m. and championship finals at 5 p.m.
