HADLEY, Mass. - Battling rainy conditions throughout Western Massachusetts, construction continued on the UMass Boathouse this week despite the less-than-optimal forecast. Two of the three motorized bay doors on the front of the building have been finished while the middle of the trio follows closely behind. On the outside, grey siding completed the portion above the bay doors while the awning now features a red tiling.

On the interior, the wooden flooring for the second level attached to the rear wall has been secured in-place to complete the framing. Four person-sized doors, two on the front of the boathouse and one on each side near the rear wall, have been framed as building the exterior of the project nears completion.

Fans and alumni can take a look at the updates through a photo gallery here.
