Rowing All-Conference Teams Announced

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 announced Thursday the 2012 Rowing All-Conference teams. The teams were nominated by the league's head rowing coaches and selected based on championship finish.
The league honored 20 student-athletes with each competing institution garnering at least one award winner. Rhode Island, as the 2012 champion and George Washington as the runner-up led the field with four selections each.
UMass grabbed two first team All-Conference spots and one second team spot. Seniors Kendall Bennett and Emily Boucher were named to the first team and junior Michaela Streitfield was named to the second team. All three rowed in the Varsity Eight at the Atlantic 10 Championship.
