Day One Complete At Giegengack For MT&F

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Just six men's events took place on Friday evening at the Giegengack Invitational. The Minutemen sent mostly jumpers to the platform for competition in the meet's first day, as proceedings and the majority of the events will take place on Saturday in New Haven, Conn.
It was Daniel Wu in the long jump who placed a day high third place for UMass while leaping to a distance of 22-2.25. The Tenafly, N.J. native is already New England Championship qualified in the event.
Freshman Peter Farlow was also able to notch a solid performance in the 200 meter dash. The first year jumper, sprinter, and hurdler recorded a new personal record in the event by clocking in at 23.18.
The Minutemen will conclude action on Saturday at the Cox Cage, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
