Trio Of Minutemen Conclude Decathlon Invite

STORRS, Conn. - Assistant track and field coach David Jackson's multis completed action at the two day Husky Decathlon Invitational on Friday afternoon. Chris Dzidek, Conor Megee, and Mark Hewitt all traveled to UConn for the two day event.

Hewitt was the top finisher for UMass, coming in sixth place with 5736 points. Behind him was the top competitor for UMass after one day of action, Conor Megee. The sophomore multi ended up in tenth place overall after Friday's action, tallying 5457 points. Senior Dzidek rounded out the UMass trio with 5286 points, taking 11th place behind Megee.

The Minutemen as a team return to action on Saturday for the first ever televised home meet in the form of the UMass Invitational. Action begins promptly at 11 am with the 10,000 meter run.
