Megee, Hewitt, Dzidek Compete At Decathlon Invite

STORRS, Conn. - Three competitors were in action for UMass on day one of the Husky Decathlon Invite in Storrs, Conn. Conor Megee currentely ranks as the top Minuteman, as he sits in seventh after five events.
Megee got the day started by finishing third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.39.
Chris Dzidek was also in action as he posted the best UMass team finish in the shot put, in fifth place. The senior multi threw a distance of 34-11.75.
Mark Hewitt rounded out the Amherst trio on day one of the Invite. His top finish came in the high jump where Hewitt tied for third with a height of 6-01.50.
The three Minutemen will conclude decathlon action on Friday as the latter half of the ten events are scheduled to start at 1 pm.
