Tyler Holmes became the first player in UMass history to return two interceptions for touchdowns in the same game as well as in the same season.

Holmes became the first player in 2010 in all of Division I football (FBS and FCS) to return two INTs for TDs and just the 23rd all-time in all of FCS. The last player to accomplish the feat was Kellin White, Southeast Mo. St. vs. UT Martin on Oct. 30, 2004.

Holmes became the third player in UMass history to return two interceptions for touchdowns in a CAREER. He joined Anton McKenzie (2000-03) and Jerard White (1996-99). For Holmes, the two touchdowns were the first of his career.

The last player in the CAA to return two interceptions for scores was Allante Harrison of Towson in 2004.

UMass' 32 first-half points were the most since leading Rhode Island 35-0 on Nov. 1, 2008.

UMass' 26 second-quarter points were the most since 28 at William & Mary in the fourth quarter on Oct. 27, 2007.

Ryan Carter returned the game's opening kickoff for a 97-yard touchdown on a reverse. It was UMass' first return for a score since Courtney Robinson returned a kickoff 100 yards vs. Holy Cross on Sept. 1, 2007.

It was also Ryan Carter's first-ever career touchdown and first-ever kickoff return.

Tyler Holmes scored the first touchdown of his career on an 18-yard interception return in the second quarter. It was his fourth interception of the season and ninth of his career.

Kyle Havens set his career-high with three touchdown passes. He surpassed his previous high of two (done seven times) in the first half alone with three.

UMass was 3-of-3 on fourth-down in the first quarter and 3-of-3 in the game to improve to 18-of-24 on the season, which ranked sixth in the NCAA.

UMass had its longest drive of the season with a 19-play 72-yards and 8:56 on Hernandez 2-yard receiving TD. The previous longest drive came at Michigan on a Kyle Havens TD rush, that drive lasted 15 plays, 70 yards for 7:31.

Dan Sheeran scored his second-career touchdown on a 19-yard reception in the second quarter.

Julian Talley scored his fourth TD of the season on a 4-yard reception to end the first half.

Mike Lee had his first-career interception.

The crowd of 12,121 was the 20th of more than 10,000 since 2005.
