UMass' last Atlantic 10 tournament victory came in the 1997 championship game, 1-0 over George Washington.
This marks the first time since 1999 and 2000 that the Minutewomen have qualified for the conference tournament in consecutive seasons. UMass last scored an A-10 Tournament goal in 1999, a 5-1 loss to Xavier.
