We caught up with rising junior James Marcou on Friday to play 10 Questions. Make sure to check out the video to see what makes one of the most prolific playmakers in collegiate hockey tick.
After coming off a sophomore season where he was named an All-American and tied for the Hockey East regular-season scoring title, Marcou and the Minutemen will return to the ice in October.
The native of Kings Park, N.Y., was in Amherst for the weekend, so we caught up with him outside of Boyden Gym to give fans a little better understanding of the man behind the No. 19.
Last season, Marcou was a semi-finalist for the 57th Annual Walter Brown Award and was a candidate for the Hobey Baker Award.
He became the first UMass player to lead Hockey East in regular-season scoring this past year with 15 goals and 32 assists.
Did You Know: James is one of three siblings. He is the only offensive player of the trio as his brother Michael is a defenseman for the Minutemen and their sister Nicole was a defender for the Monmouth women's lacrosse team.
