Rowing Finishes Third At Green Monster Regatta

HANOVER, N.H. - The UMass rowing team competed in the Green Monster Regatta at Dartmouth University last weekend. The novices entered two boats in the eights race, finishing third after combining their times, while the varsity team did not make the trip. The Minutewomen will close out their fall season this weekend when they will participate in the Foot of the Charles Regatta in Boston.
The Massachusetts eight boat, coxswained by Caitlyn O'Leary rowed to a sixth place finish overall with a time of 20:42.00. The boat was comprised of Logan O'Sullivan, Katie Wynkoop, Melissa Curley, Amber Henry, Jess Stern, Noreen McDonnell, Michaela Streitfield and Katie vonZweck.
The second UMass boat placed ninth with a total time of 21:24.90. The boat was guided by coxswain Liz Bempkins, with Sarah Brown, Adrienne Breef-Pilz, Tory Gordon, Jess Westover, Kaitlyn MacKenzie, Angela Stigliano and Ariadne Zamelis.
