AMHERST, Mass. - After a dramatic final day of the regular season in Atlantic 10 women's soccer, the A-10 Championship field is set with UMass earning a spot as the No. 6 seed, its first postseason berth since 2004. The Minutewomen will take on No. 3 Fordham this Thursday, Nov. 5, at Charlotte's Transamerica Field at 5:30 p.m.

UMass enters the tournament on a two-game winning streak as the squad posted a pair of 1-0 shutouts, vs. George Washington and Richmond, which helped the squad secure a place in the six-team A-10 Championship field.

The Minutewomen's match against the Rams will be the first of two opening round contests as No. 4 St. Bonaventure will play No. 5 Saint Louis at 8 p.m. on Thursday night. The highest remaining seed will move on to face No. 2 Charlotte in a 5:30 p.m. semifinal on Friday, Nov. 6, while the lower remaining seed will take on No. 1 Dayton in the second semifinal match at 8 p.m. The 2009 Atlantic 10 Championship match will be played on Sunday, Nov. 8, at 1 p.m.

Live audio and video streaming of the Championship will be available for $7.95 per-day. Annual subscribers to All-Access for the six A-10 teams participating in the Championship and XXL annual subscribers will be able to view the action at no charge.
