Minutewomen To Face No. 13 Connecticut on Tuesday

AMHERST, Mass. - UMass women's soccer (5-1-0) faces its toughest opponent on Tuesday at Rudd Field when they host No. 13 Connecticut (4-3-1) at 4 p.m. The Minutewomen have not dropped a game since their season opener and are coming off of a 2-1 win at Yale. UMass is led by Britt Canfield (3-2-8), Vanessa Patry (3-2-8) and Nadia Villarroel (2-2-6) offensively, while Kristin Walker (5-1-0; 0.83 GAA; .821 sv%) has been in net all season. Canfield had the equalizer last Friday vs. the Bulldogs, while Villarroel notched the gamewinner with 45 seconds left in the contest.
After routing Providence 4-0 last Friday, the Huskies rallied to beat Central Connecticut 2-1 on Sunday. They are led by Brittany Taylor whose 13 points (6-1-13) lead the Huskies; Annie Yi comes in with eight. Stephanie Labbe and Amanda Schwartz have both seem time in goal.
