AMHERST, Mass. - UMass women's soccer (8-4-0) will take their show on the road this weekend as they continue Atlantic 10 play versus the Saint Joseph's Hawks and the Temple Owls. The Minutewomen will look to build upon a big overtime victory over the Xavier Musketeers as they attempt to improve upon their 2-2 conference record.

Massachusetts continues to be led by the outstanding play of Britt Canfield, who scored the gamewinning goal in the 1-0 win versus Xavier. This marked her third gamewinning goal of the season. Kristin Walker pitched her fourth shutout of the year and had one of her best games versus the Musketeeers as she stopped 10 shots on goal to preserve the UMass win.

SJU (5-7-0) is coming off of a 3-1 victory over the Temple Owls. After the Hawks' lead was cut to 2-1 in the second half, Shannen Osborn tallied her second goal of the game. This goal came off of a corner kick and in the process squandered any hopes of a Temple comeback. Nancy Cook added an assist, bringing her point total for the year to 10. The lone Owls goal was scored by Katrina Lynch as she headed a cross into the back of the net late in the second half. Temple dropped to a 3-9 overall record and a 0-3 record in conference play.

Massachusetts will play three more conference games to conclude the 2006 season. The first of these three games will be versus Rhode Island, which will take place on the UMass' senior day. Saint Louis and Duquesne follow as the Minutewomen seek a bid to the Atlantic 10 tournament.
