Maroon & White To Take On Big Green

AMHERST, Mass. - The University of Massachusetts women's soccer team will face the Dartmouth Big Green today at 4 p.m. at Rudd Field. The Minutewomen are at .500 on the season with a 3-3-1 record, while Dartmouth comes into the match with a 4-2 overall record.
Britt Canfield and Jenny Roehrig have come through with the scoring in the past two games, with each accounting for a goal and assist. UMass has outshot its opponents 34-18 in that span, coming away with a win over Holy Cross and suffering its first home loss to Vermont.
The Big Green have wins over Virginia Commonwealth, William & Mary, Minnesota and Arizona State. The two losses have come against Cal and St. Mary's. Sarah Johnson leads her team with three goals and two assists for eight points. Laurel Peak owns a 3-2 record in goal, while Amanda Webb is 1-0.
Today's Dartmouth game and Saturday's Fairfield matchup will close out the nonconference portion of UMass' 2005 schedule. The Atlantic 10 season gets underway on Friday, Sept. 30 when the Minutewomen host Fordham.
