AMHERST, Mass. - Despite heavy rains near Worcester, the Minutewomen (2-2-1) will take on the Holy Cross Crusaders tomorrow at 4 p.m. UMass is coming off a 0-1-1 showing at the UConn Classic last weekend, falling 4-0 to then-No. 19 Connecticut before going into double-overtime with St. John's and coming away with a 1-1 tie. Holy Cross on the other hand is 2-4 on the season, having dropped their last two contests to Maine (4-1) and Providence (3-1).

UMass' two Vanessas-- Vanessa Lima and Vanessa Patry --and Stephanie Barrett put the Minutewomen on the board vs. St. John's. Lima's goal was her first of the season, and the assists for the third each for Patry and Barrett. Patry currently leads UMass in scoring with five points in five games (1-2-5).

Meredith Davis has a goal and three assists to lead the Crusaders in scoring. Lauren Pereira and Allison Hayes each have four points. In goal, Jessica Pietrowicz earned both wins, while Cashel Scanlon has four losses on the season.

In the case of inclement weather and field conditions in Worcester, the game could be played at Rudd Field on the campus of the University of Massachusetts. Check back on umassathletics.com for match updates.
