AMHERST, Mass. - Saturday will be the "Battle of the Unbeatens" in Kingston, R.I. when Massachusetts and Rhode Island battle for a 3-0 record in the Atlantic 10. UMass is coming off two home wins over Fordham (1-0) and St. Bonaventure (2-0), while the Rams have defeated the same teams by the scores of 4-0, 5-0, respectively.

The sophomore Minutewomen garnered all of the goals in last weekend's shutouts, with Caitlin Footit, Vanessa Lima and Jenny Roehrig being credited with the tallies. Footit's was her first of the 2005 season, while Lima's was her second. Roehrig's seven points on the season place her second overall among her teammates and one point behind team leader Britt Canfield (2-4-8). Kristin Walker has earned a personal-best five shutouts this season.

The Rams have four players that have scored in the double digits, including Melanie Kasparek, who has 22 points on the season. Megan Kasparek (14 pts.), Dora Larusdottir (12 pts.) and Rebecca Fish (11 pts.) follow. Ria Carroll has been in goal for all decisions.

The Minutewomen return home the weekend of Oct. 14, when they host Duquense and Saint Louis at Rudd Field. Friday's game begins at 3 p.m., while Sunday's match starts at 1 p.m. Sunday is also senior day in Amherst, as Lindsey Bellini, Adair Blyler, Morgan Czaja, Tiffany Hamill, Amy Maffucci and Kristen Rutland will be honored.
