Senior Goalkeeper Earns Regional Honor

Amherst, Mass. - Senior goalkeeper Kelly Nigh (Seattle, Wash.) was named a New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association second-team All-New England Division 1 selection, announced by NEWISA this afternoon.
In 11 starts this season, Nigh racked up 76 saves, posting a .817 save percentage and a 3-5-1 record before being injured in the contest with Dayton. The senior captain allowed 17 goals in her 975 minutes of action, registering a 1.57 goals against average.
Nigh ends her career in fourth-place on the all-time list at UMass for career saves with 249, and holds second-place on the all-time single-season saves chart with 140, posted last season. Nigh is also tied for second-place for best single-season goals-against average, with a 0.31 GAA, recorded her freshman year. Last year, her 8.24 saves per game was good for seventh in the nation.
