Two Women's Soccer Players Recognized By The Atlantic 10

AMHERST, Mass. - University of Massachusetts forwards Erin Lilly (Ballston Lake, N.Y.) and Stephanie Santos (Ludlow, Mass.) were selected Atlantic 10 Conference Co-Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, today.
Lilly, a sophomore, scored the game-winning goal and added two assists as UMass beat Binghamton 6-2 Sunday, Sept. 16. Those were the first points of the season for Lilly who finished her freshman campaign with five goals and 10 points en route to being selected to the A-10 all-Rookie team.
Santos tallied her first career hat trick in the victory over Binghamton, scoring twice in the opening 34 minutes of play. The preseason A-10 all-Rookie team selection scored her first collegiate goal in UMass' 4-3 double-overtime victory over Boston College on Sept. 1 and now leads the Minutewomen with four goals and eight points.
UMass returns to action on Sunday, Sept. 23, as host to conference foe University of Rhode Island (2-1/0-0 Atlantic 10) at Totman Field. Game time is set for 1:00 p.m.
