Bartlett Leads UMass to Women's Soccer Victory

ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. - Kara Ciocca (Wilbraham, Mass.) connected on a pass from Brooke Bartlett (Clifton Park, N.Y.) at 60:08 into the game to break a scoreless tie and propel UMass (5-5/1-1 Atlantic 10 Conference) to a 2-0 victory over St. Bonaventure (3-5-1/1-1 A-10) Friday afternoon in women's soccer action.
Bartlett added the insurance goal for the Minutewomen, who outshot St. Bonaventure 13-6, twenty minutes later off a cross by Martha Conover (Liverpool, N.Y.).
UMass junior goalkeeper Julie Podhrasky (Dallas, Texas) made two saves to record her second shutout of the season. St. Bonaventure's keeper, Karen Cunningham, had five saves for the Bonnies.
UMass wraps up its six-game road trip with a 1:00 p.m. game at Duquesne on Sunday, Oct. 1.
