AS A JUNIOR IN 2020-21
Spring 2021: Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team … Clocked a second-place time of 8:05.2 in the Second Varsity 4 ‘A’ Final at Overpeck Park (4/11) … Raced the Varsity 4 to second place (8:32.4) at the Charles River Basin (4/18) … Part of the Third Varsity 8 crew that finished second (8:34.056) at the Charles River Basin (5/1) … Finished second in the V4 with a time of 8:15.987 at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/15), earning a silver medal.

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2019-20
Fall 2019: Rowed three seat in the Open 8+ to take seventh (16:48) at the Head of the Riverfront Regatta (10/6) ... Also part of a fifth-place Open 4+ (20:19.78) ... Moved to five seat in the Collegiate 8+ B boat that was 14th (15:32.1) at Head of the Housatonic (10/12) ... Helped the Collegiate 4+ C crew to ninth (17:41.2) ... Closed out the Fall riding five seat in the Club 8+ that was ninth (17:10.635) at the 55th Head of the Charles (10/19).

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2018-19
Spring 2019: Clocked in fourth (8:30.497) in the Varsity Four Grand Final at the Atlantic 10 Championships (5/18) ... Was fourth (7:18.86) in the Varsity Four Petite Final at the Dad Vail Regatta (5/11) ... At the Knecht Cup (4/14), reached the 2V8 Grand Final and clocked in fourth (7:06.17) ... Took second (8:26.92) in the Pair at the Knecht Cup (4/14) to highlight UMass finishes in the top three spots ... Had a fourth place finish (8:02.27) in the V4 Petite Final at the Doc Hosea Regatta (3/30) ... Placed fourth (8:31.26) in the 2V4 Petite Final at the Cooper Sprints (3/24).
 
Fall 2018: Tabbed 16th in the Club Eights (17:40.789) at the Head of the Charles (10/20) ... Fifth in the Varsity Eight (16:16.2) at the UMass-hosted Hadley Chase Regatta (10/13) ... Tabbed first (8:20.68) in the Collegiate 2- B Final at the Small Boat Challenge (10/7).

Michel on UMass: "I chose UMass because it was beautiful and felt like a second home as soon as I stepped on campus. Everyone was so welcoming, the food was great and I know that at UMass I'll continue to grow as an athlete and as a student."

Before UMass: Was part of a V8 boat that went to Youth Nationals during her junior season ... Also competed in the Lightweight 8 at Youth Nationals as a sophomore ... Outside of rowing, was a standout swimmer at Juanita High School ... Named a team captain for her senior season ... All-State swimmer both as a junior and senior ... Member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Daughter of Dan and Katrina Michel ... Has two siblings, Anna and Susan ... Intends to pursue English as an academic track.
