Laura is in her second season coaching at UMass after completing a successful tenure with the UMass rowing team over the past four years. A 2004 graduate of UMass, Hutchinson will be coaching the varsity lightweight eight while completing her Masters in community nutrition. A member of the Atlantic 10 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll and UMass Athletic Director[apos]s Honor Roll in her undergraduate stay in Amherst, she earned the Novice of the Year award in 2001. Hutchinson won the Atlantic 10 Championship in the second varsity eight in 2002, before repeating as champs in 2003, where she rowed in the bow seat. In her senior campaign, she rowed in the bow seat and led the second varsity eight to an ECAC Championship and silver at Atlantic 10 Championships.
