Andrea Morand enters her seventh season on the University of Massachusetts coaching staff and her fifth campaign in the assistant coaching role during 2015-16. The upcoming school year also marks her second season serving as the recruitment coordinator for the Minutewomen.

Morand helped the Maroon and White put together another season ranked among the all-time best in program history during 2014-15. UMass successfully defended its Atlantic 10 Championship and also repeated their Dad Vail Regatta Women's Title before the squad competed in the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive season and fifth time in program history.

During her third year working full-time with the program, Morand assisted long-time head coach Jim Dietz and associate head coach Laura Simon in leading the Minutewomen to an appearance in the 2014 NCAA Championships. The successful spring season also featured an Atlantic 10 Championship as well as a first place finish at the 2014 Knecht Cup. During the campaign, Morand's walk-on Novice 8+ finished second at the prestigious Dad Vail Regatta as the Maroon and White won the women's team title at the nationally recognized event.

In the 2011 season, Andrea was hired as a full-time assistant coach. Prior to this she served as the graduate assistant coach for two seasons while she obtained a master's degree in kinesiology. As the graduate assistant coach, Andrea served as the walk-on novice coach, where she taught rowing basics to student-athletes new to the sport. Simultaneously, Morand served a stint as a Amherst College rowing coach when she guided the men's and women's club team on the Connecticut River.

Andrea rowed for the University of Massachusetts from 2005-09 as a member of the Varsity Eight, helping the Minutewomen win three Atlantic 10 Championships during her tenure.
