2021 – Senior: NFHCA National Academic Squad … Played in all 19 matches this season, getting the start in 11 … Second on the team in points with 12 … Notched six goals on the year to tie for first on the team … Had a goal in a 2-1 road win against Albany (9/5) … Added two goals, including the game-winner, in a 7-1 conference victory over La Salle … Scored a goal in a 2-1 win over UConn (10/24).
2020-21 – Junior: NFHCA National Academic Squad … Played in all 11 games on the season … Notched a goal in the 2-1 win vs. UMass Lowell (3/14) … Recorded a season best three shots against Maine (3/12).

Defauwes on UMass: “I chose UMass because athletically and academically it is the perfect fit. I felt immediately at home when I was walking on campus and really clicked with the coaches as well as the team.”
Before UMass: Played with HDM Hockey from 2005-17 and led her squads to top-four finishes each of the last four years ... Played for Pietervan Markenwith HDM as well as Mark Langemeyerand at Craeyenhout... In 2015, finished third in HDM’s International Youth Easter Hockey Tournament behind the Scottish National Team ... Helped capture a Dutch Indoor Championship in 2011-12.
Personal: Born in The Hague, Netherlands to parents Han and Yolande Defauwes ... Has one older brother, Bas ... Enjoys watching Netflix, playing with her dogs and spending time with friends.
