Before UMass: Three year varsity starter for Coach Hank Golec[apos]s Middies...Captain of the team as a senior...During senior year, batted .435 with a .547 OBP, 17 RBI and 1 home run while striking out only 6 times...Also named Merrimac Valley Conference (MVC) All Conference Player of Year, Coaches Most Outstanding Award, Lowell Sun All-Star Player of the Year, and was picked to play in the Eastern Massachusetts All-Star where he was named the MVP of the game...Selected to represent his home state in the Massachusetts vs. Connecticut All-Star game...As a junior, was named MVC All-Star...During sophomore year, was awarded Coaches Most Outstanding Award and was honored as a Conference All-Star in the MVC.
