PARKING

Ice Hockey and Men's Basketball Mullins Center Parking
Frequently Asked Questions

Hasn’t parking form men’s basketball and hockey always been free?
Our premium parking areas have significant value on gameday and in the past Lot 67 and Lot 25 reserved have had a donation level associated with access. By expanding these paid lots, we are able to create an additional source of support for our student-athletes, with all proceeds going directly to our Script U Scholarship Society

Are there free parking options available on campus?
Yes, there will continue to be no-charge parking options available on campus. Additional lots will follow normal operating protocols, with, for example, permits for Lots 30, 65, 26, 31, 68, 45, 42 and 71 required from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday (map).

Where does the money from parking fees go?
All proceeds from paid gameday parking directly supports student-athlete scholarships and benefits through the Script U Scholarship Society. These resources are essential to helping UMass Athletics fund scholarships and provide Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) opportunities while remaining competitive within Division I and continuing to attract and support top talent.

Is this common practice?
It is very common and standard practice to pay for priority parking at college athletic events including at many peer institutions.

Do hockey and/or men’s basketball season ticket members receive a parking benefit?
Yes, season ticket holders have the ability to purchase a Lot 25 parking pass for $100 for the season. To learn more about how you can secure a complimentary parking pass based on donation level through the Script U Scholarship Society please visit here
