This season, the UMass Athletic Department has entered into an agreement with SportsJuice.com that will allow Minuteman fans to listen live to game broadcasts and coach's shows free over the worldwide web.

The games are available by first coming to www.umassathletics.com and clicking on the word "audio broadcast" on the right side of the opening page, under the listing for live coverage. Internet listeners will then follow the prompts to SportsJuice.com for the broadcasts.

This fall all of the football game broadcasts will be available live, beginning with the pre-game show, 30 minutes before kick-off. "The Coors Light Coach's Show with Mark Whipple From The Hangar Pub & Grille" can be heard Thursdays at 7 p.m. A new program, "The Maroon & White Report," which features news and notes from the entire Athletic Department, airs in the half hour preceding the pre-game show on Saturdays.

"Our fans told us last year that one of the things they really wanted was to be able to hear the games free on the internet," said Manager of Broadcast Services and play-by-play voice Bob Behler. "With the help of many people in the athletic department it is now a reality."

The men's basketball and hockey game broadcasts and coach's shows will also be made available free through SportsJuice.com.
