With the NFL Draft coming this weekend, Dan Malone of MassLive.com takes a look at where Jean Sifrin could likely be drafted. While no other Minutemen are likely to be drafted, Stanley Andre does have a strong chance of being picked up as a free agent. The UMass football team was able to generate over 200 new donor applicants for the Bone Marrow Donor Registry on Wednesday afternoon. The Minutemen helped signed up potential donors to the registry where they could possibly help save the life of someone dealing with blood cancers. In 2012, former UMass defensive back Ryan Carter was actually selected as bone marrow match and made the donation to help save a five-year-old boys life.

Linebacker Jovan Santos-Knox said in the post game interview that the defense has been enjoying the success of the offense over the past few games where both units have been playing much better than at the start of the year.

Miami rallied back from a 27-point deficit on Saturday to defeat UMass 42-41 at Yager Stadium in what was a tale of two halves for the Minutemen. UMass led 41-21 at the break, but a tough second half marred by turnovers opened the door for the RedHawks. The Minutemen were able to manage a last minute drive down to the six-yard line, but a play with three seconds left in overtime fell just short of the goal line.
