Spring 2007 (Junior): Named a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete for maintaining a 3.5 cumulative grade point average. Coxswain of the second varsity eight team which finished second to URI in the Yankee Cup in Kingston, R.I. (3/30); first against Iona and Colgate at Orchard Beach, N.Y. (4/1); fourth against Northeastern, Texas, and Columbia in Boston (4/17); and won the silver medal in the A10 Championships (4/21) helping UMass to its 12th consecutive Atlantic 10 victory, a feat that no other Atlantic 10 team has ever accomplished. Also was the coxswain for the varsity four boat which had a rocky start to the season taking third in the Yankee Cup (3/30); last place against Iona and Colgate (4/1); third against Northeastern, Texas and Columbia in Boston (4/17); and finished the season strong winning the silver medal in the A10 Championships (4/21) losing to URI by only three seconds. Her lightweight eight finished second at the ECAC Championships. Fall 2006 (Junior): Coxed the varsity eight to eighth place at the Head of the Housatonic ... at the Textile Regatta rowed in the Lightweight-four finishing in 3rd place while acting as coxswain. 2006 (Sophomore): Raced in the varsity eight as the coxswain at the Atlantic 10 championship and ECAC championship finishing 5th and 4th respectively. Before UMass: Played tennis for two years and was a member of the National Honor Society. Personal: Majoring in Molecular Biology, concentrating in Pre-Med ... born June 6, 1986.
