Becker on UMass: “I chose UMass because of how competitive the field hockey team is and how close-knit everyone is. Of course, having the No. 1 ranked campus dining in the U.S. doesn’t hurt, either!”
Before UMass: Came to Amherst from the Pomfret School in Connecticut, where Becker played for head coach Louisa Jones ... Finished her high school club career with Strikers Field Hockey under Jen Brown ... Captained her squad as a senior and was named All-NEPSAC First Team ... Previously was with WC Eagles where she was a three-time National Indoor Champion ... Also lettered in lacrosse and squash while in high school.
Personal: Daughter of Paul and Rachel Becker ... Has three siblings, Brynne, Claudia and Leah ... Father played lacrosse at Penn State; sister, Leah played soccer at Princeton; Claudia lettered in lacrosse at Atlantic 10 rival Davidson ... Enjoys spending time at the beach and with friends.
