UMass Alumnus Kris Horn Finishes 11th In Four-Man Olympic Bobsled

CORTINA d'Ampezzo, Italy – In his rookie season as a driver for Team USA four-man bobsled, University of Massachusetts men's track and field alumnus Kris Horn claimed 11th in the event, racing at the Cortina Sliding Centre on Sunday at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
Horn piloted his sled into Sunday's Heats 3 and 4 after his team had runs of 54.60 and 55.01 after Heats 1 and 2 on Saturday. They sat eighth after Heat 1 and ninth after Heat 2 before finishing 11th after runs of 55:22 and 55.11 on Sunday, 2.37 seconds off the gold medal-pace.
Horn's team posted a combined time of 3:39.94 over the four heats, good for 11th out of 20 sleds. Germany's sled, piloted by Johannes Lochner, won gold in 3:37.57. Team USA's other four-man sled finished 12th (3:40.06).
At the Beijing Games in 2022, Horn was a push athlete for the 10th-place USA four-man sled.
