AMHERST, Mass. – A.J. Lacroix, a 6-0, 194-pound forward from Livingston, New Jersey, will join University of Massachusetts hockey for the 2025-26 season, head coach Greg Carvel announced on Wednesday. Lacroix is the fifth member of the Minutemen's class of 2029, joining forwards Jack Galanek, Justin Kerr, Lukas Klecka and defenseman Coleson Hanrahan.

"A.J. is the type of kid you win with," said Carvel. "He is a great teammate and is very coachable. He is a big power forward who can really shoot the puck and can play in a lot of different situations on the ice. A.J. has spent time playing in the top junior leagues in North America and has had success at every level. His on-ice ability and high character off the ice will be a great addition to our forward group next season."

Lacroix played parts of three seasons in the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL), appearing in 191 career games on 64 goals, 76 assists, totaling 140 points. This past season after joining the Brooks Bandits from the Tri City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL), he put up 34 points on 15 goals and 19 assists, helping Brooks to the BCHL championship.

While with Tri City in 2023-24 and 2024-25, Lacoix logged 16 goals and 15 assists for 31 points over 74 games. The two seasons prior, he played for the Chilliwack Chiefs in the BCHL, registering 61 points (27g, 34a) in 68 games in 2022-23 and 45 points (22g, 23a) in 64 games in 2021-22.
