Diggins Receives NABC All-District Recognition

March 18, 2025 | Men's Basketball

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Massachusetts men's basketball senior Rahsool Diggins earned North Atlantic All-District Second Team honors, the National Association of Basketball Coaches announced Tuesday. The selection marks the second end of year honor for Diggins this season and first from the NABC.

Diggins earns regional recognition after a season which saw the senior guard set multiple program records en route to eclipsing 1,000 career points. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania native received a trio of National Player of The Week honors in addition to a pair of conference weekly awards. Diggins finished the 2024-25 campaign averaging 20.6 points on 39.1% shooting from the field over 18 A-10 games. The Senior led the A-10 in points per game during conference play.

The Minuteman veteran highlighted the season with a program record 46 points in Massachusetts' triple OT win at Fordham. The senior shot 14-of-29 from the field and 8-of-13 from three-point range. The performance marked the most points by a visiting player at Rose Hill Gymnasium, surpassing all-time UMass great Julius Erving's 37-point performance on January 21, 1970. The performance tied for the most points ever scored at the facility, tying Kenny Charles just one day shy of Rose Hill Gym's 100 anniversary mark.

Diggins finished his senior season scoring 1,056 of his 1,063 career points in a Massachusetts uniform. The senior guard ranks 42nd on the Massachusetts all-time scoring list, sitting 18 points behind Shannon Crooks (1,074) for 41st.
