Massachusetts Tennis Falls On The Road To Dartmouth, 6-1

HANOVER, N.H. – University of Massachusetts tennis dropped a 6-1 match to Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon at the Boss Tennis Center.

The Big Green took the doubles point with victories on court No. 1 and No. 3. At second doubles, Belle Jonglertrakul and Mariana Campino also fell in a close 6-5 match.

In singles play, Dartmouth captured victores at No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4 and No. 6 singles. Trinity Calinescu picked up the lone point for UMass in a dominant 6-1, 6-4 win over Big Green's Elise Wong on court No. 5. At No. 2 singles, Campino came back from down a set, to win the second set 6-3 over Michela Moore of Dartmouth. However, Moore won the tiebreak 10-3. Big Green went on to pick up the next four points to cement the 6-1 match.

Massachusetts will continue its travels with a trip to Cambridge, Massachusetts, for Saturday, March 8 contest against Harvard at 1 p.m, before hosting Stonehill on Sunday, March 9, at the Bay Road Tennis Center.
