Irving Earns Hockey East Goaltender Of The Week Recognition

AMHERST, Mass. – University of Massachusetts hockey junior Jackson Irving has been named the Hockey East Goaltender of the Week, it was announced on Monday. It marks UMass' third weekly honor of the season and the second of Irving's career.
The Newbury, Massachusetts native started both games against No. 6 Maine this past week and posted a .934 save percentage for the series making 85 stops with a 3.01 GAA and a 1-1-0 record.
Irving logged a career high 48 saves in Thursday's loss to the Black Bears and earned the game's No. 3 star. He rebounded by posting 37 saves in his second collegiate shutout, 4-0 over Maine and was tabbed the No. 1 star of the game.
